Under the same thickness condition, PC board's heat insulation performance is about 16% higher than glass, which can effectively block the transmission of heat insulation energy. Anti-combustion performance: PC board has good flame retardancy, no toxic gas is generated during combustion, and its smoke concentration is lower than that of wood and paper. After the 30s of combustion, the combustion length did not exceed 25mm, and the flammable gas was decomposed only when the hot air reached 467 ° C. Chemical resistance: no reaction to acids, alcohols, juices, beverages; resistance to gasoline and kerosene, no cracks or loss of light transmission ability within 48 hours of contact. However, it has poor chemical resistance to certain chemicals (such as amines, esters, halogenated hydrocarbons, paint diluents).

Lightweight: Polycarbonate has a density of about 1.29 / cm3, which is half lighter than glass.
